How to manually add zooms in Video

Updated 11 hours ago

In this tutorial, we’ll walk you through how to manually add zooms to your product video. This gives you full control over where you want to direct the viewer’s attention during playback. Follow these three simple steps.

1Open the video editor and find the moment you want to zoom in.

Use the timeline at the bottom of the screen to scrub through your video. When you reach the section where you want the zoom to begin, click to select the frame. Then, click Add Zoom in the editor toolbar. This inserts a zoom effect at that exact timestamp.

2Adjust the zoom area to highlight what matters.

A zoom frame will appear on the screen. You can drag the corners to resize the zoom window and move it to focus on any element—like a button, menu, or piece of text. This helps guide the viewer’s eyes to what’s important, especially in busy interfaces.

3Control how long the zoom effect lasts.

Back in the timeline, you’ll see a bar representing the zoom duration. Drag the edge of that bar to make the zoom shorter or longer. When you preview the video, you’ll see the camera smoothly zoom in and out over the selected area.

4Delete any zooms you don’t need.

To remove a zoom, click the zoom bar on the timeline to select it. This will open the Zoom Editor on the right sidebar. Scroll to the bottom and click the trash icon. Then confirm by clicking DELETE. The zoom effect will be instantly removed from your video.

If it looks good, click Save to lock it in.
